Use coffee inside and out to brighten your skin—using a facial scrub made of coffee will soften lines, clear clogged pores, and overall brighten your face. The exfoliation happens both chemically and mechanically. To make a scrub, soak your coffee grounds in filtered warm water, and add epsom salts. Coffee body scrubs are one of the most popular beauty treatments at spas. You can make your own by mixing ½ cup sugar, 1 cup cooled coffee grounds, 1.5 tablespoon jojoba oil, and the leaves of 2 green tea bags. Apply and rub this mixture on the body in a circular motion prior to showering. Apply a moisturizer after the shower. You may also replace the sugar with epsom salt for a more coarse scrub. To exfoliate your scalp, wet your hair and scalp and then apply 1/3 cup of coffee grounds to your scalp and massage in for about a minute. Rinse, and then shampoo as you normally do.
