San Antonio joins cities across the nation in celebrating National Senior Health & Fitness Day on May 26, 2010. More than 1,000 locations including healthcare providers, senior centers, retirement communities and other community locations will offer programs and activities to promote health and fitness for seniors and older Americans.

Senior health events in San Antonio include:

Description: The fair will offer free health screenings, informational seminars and fitness classes for interested seniors in our community. Participants can try activities such as:

Laughter yoga
Wii® bowling
Strength and conditioning classes
In addition, vendors will be at St. Paul’s Senior Health Fair with valuable resources, including:

Elder law issues
Health screenings
Senior safety
Dementia information
Educational programs
Volunteer opportunities
Nutritional information and more

One Mile Walk for National Senior Health & Fitness Day
Wednesday, May 26 – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
